Work Live Play Reno Tahoe publishes a monthly job search cheat sheet so you can have quick access to urgently hiring companies in the Reno-Sparks region. Searching for a job is exhausting, especially if you are new in town or looking to relocate and don’t have the social connections needed to get your foot in the door. We get it. That is why we’ve put together a quick access guide listing many of the positions that need to be filled right away and the companies that are actively looking for candidates to hire.

Where do we get this data? Each month the Workforce Development Team at the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) holds a community roundtable. Employers in the region come together to support one another and share their hiring needs. EDAWN created the Recruiting Roundtable to help meet the growing workforce needs of Reno-Sparks regional employers. Tesla’s Manufacturing Development Program for Recent High School Graduates (Class of 2023, 2022, 2021)

The Tesla Manufacturing Development Program (MDP) is a nationally registered apprenticeship that offers recent high school graduates the opportunity to jumpstart a career at Tesla. It provides recent high school graduates the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Participants will spend the majority of their time working on the manufacturing floor, developing technical skills, and learning the production process.

Candidates will also attend formal training and receive mentorship from a team of experienced professionals. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a production operator certification and the skillset/experience to further a career path in manufacturing.
