Sage Ridge School prides itself on being Reno’s only non-sectarian, independent school serving grades 3-12. A college preparatory day school committed to diversity service, character, and academic excellence since 1997. Even though the pandemic, they offer education in a growing city.

Shown here is Leila, Sage Ridge Student, class of 2021 and two-time State Champion Golfer, member of Youth Legislature, and student government member. Leila is one of many strong, exemplary students at Sage Ridge. See student profiles.

Sage Ridge Hosts a Globally Attended Open House

On Wednesday, Sage Ridge School hosted their Winter Open House for over forty families—mostly on campus with some online. One family joined all the way from France. During this time, student ambassadors lead tours and shared their experiences through an open Q&A format.

“I was reminded how deeply our Pillars influence our student experience and how much they are woven into everything we do at Sage Ridge. When new families see what we do in developing intellectual character with our students to blossom into the most successful versions of themselves, they become enthusiastic. We are thrilled to have more inquiries than ever in the history of our school even as we are still in the throes of a pandemic.” – Tobin Bechtel, Head of School

Reno is a Growing City

The Milken Institute released its 2020 report, Best Performing Cities: Where America’s Jobs are Created and Sustained. Reno ranked number 4 in the large cities group, and we have seen the population growth as Reno has diversified its economy. We believe this emphasizes the opportunity that Sage Ridge has to play a leading role in helping our region as it expands.

As a member of EDAWN and other organizations that support growth in Reno, Sage Ridge continually aims to be part of the conversation.

“We are an important part of the educational portfolio of Northern Nevada as the leader in liberal arts and college-preparatory education that continually sets the challenge to produce students who go on to make a positive difference. We have a lot to be proud of as we move towards serving our community for 25 years.” Tobin Bechtel, Head of School
